The first quarter of 2026 was Famine or Feast. As the Spring market is always dictated by the weather, the early cold and snowy February kept new inventory at bay until March 1st. Once March hit, the inventory started coming and the demand intensified.

We are currently in a very balanced market, with an advantage to the seller, as the inventory is hitting the market with a healthy pace and being greeted by an audience of waiting home buyers. We will see how long this balance holds as we inch towards summer in Marblehead!
